Japanese Indigo: Fresh Leaf Workshop

Join Folklife Farm and artist Meredith Brion in Bayside, California, for a hands-on introduction to fresh leaf indigo dyeing.

Working with locally grown Japanese indigo (Persicaria tinctoria), you’ll learn how to harvest, process, and dye with fresh leaves, exploring the natural chemistry and beautiful blue possibilities of this living plant. This is an outdoor event, please dress accordingly.

Costs: Sliding scale: $45–$120 per participant. Each ticket includes one textile to dye.
